Bonded Dealers and Handlers

The Dealers and Handlers of Agricultural Products Law ensures prompt and full payment to the state's farmers for their products from the buyers through licensing and bonding requirements. Anyone who purchases products (except tobacco, cotton, dairy or timber) from the producer (farmer), and pays for those products by any means other than cash is required to be licensed and bonded. Additional protection is afforded grain producers through the Grain Producers Guaranty Fund.
