Whether you want to incorporate an event venue on your farm or already have one, you will learn about successfully building your venue from the ground up and how to best to market your location. Katie Suddrether, the venue sales manager at the Greenway, will talk about the legal aspects, contracts, and relationship with vendors that are essential to a venue’s success. Katie is a great resource for anyone with questions about any aspect due to her extensive knowledge of the event business.
Social Media is a key aspect of any business especially Agritourism to insure we reach new customers. Katelyn … does an incredible job marketing the Greenway on their social media platforms. She will talk about how to grow your social media and the best way to market your farm and events on these platforms.
Schools field trips offer a great opportunity to Agritourism farms. Kelly Murphy runs their education programs and will speak about incorporating school curriculum into your farm tours to make your farm the most appealing. She will also talk about the importance of building successful relationships with the schools and communicating with school systems. Another neat thing about Kelly’s job that transfers perfectly to the farm are all the fun activities she does with the kids like fort building and Ga Ga ball.
