Field Crops

Nothing's Better . . . South Carolina has a long history of row crop production. Row crops are generally produced on over 1.3 million acres of crop land in South Carolina each year. These crops account for millions of dollars in annual cash receipts. Traditional crops include corn, cotton, hay, oats, peanuts, soybeans, tobacco, and wheat. Aside from conventional uses, field crops like corn and soybeans are used for producing renewable fuels. While row crops benefit South Carolina's rural communities, farmers, and entrepreneurs economically, they are also products that just make life better!
