Football Fans Invited to FREE Certified SC Grown Tailgate Sept. 13th
COLUMBIA, S.C. Before the South Carolina Gamecocks and the Georgia Bulldogs meet on the gridiron, fans from both teams can show their support for SC agriculture, and enjoy some tasty treats, when they visit the Certified SC Grown Tailgate tent Sept. 13.
The South Carolina Department of Agriculture (SCDA) is hosting the Certified SC Grown Tailgate at Gamecock Village on Bluff Road in Columbia. The free tailgate is from 12 to 2 p.m., or while supplies last. The tent will be located in the area adjacent to Bluff Road.
Fans get the chance to taste and see how easily Certified SC Grown produce and agricultural products can be incorporated into tailgates, family get-togethers and holiday dinners. Cocky Wings, fresh salsa, boiled peanuts and beef hotdogs are just a few of the tailgate foods planned for the big day.
Look for the Certified SC Grown label to easily identify produce grown in South Carolina or products made in the state. For more information on Certified SC Grown visit www.certifiedscgrown.com.
