FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – October 13, 2016

New Date for the 7th Annual Midlands Fall Plant and Flower Festival

WEST COLUMBIA – The South Carolina Department of Agriculture has rescheduled the 7th annual Midlands Fall Plant & Flower Festival for October 21-23 at the State Farmers Market located at 3483 Charleston Highway, West Columbia. The festival was postponed due to Hurricane Matthew.

With the fall season just weeks away, cooler temperatures will make for the perfect time to get out in the yard. From lawn and garden décor to seasonal plants and flowers, festival vendors are bound to have what you’re looking for. Clemson Extension’s Master Gardeners will also be present throughout the event to answer all of your home lawn and garden questions. While shopping the festival, be sure to look for the Certified South Carolina logo and support your local growers and producers.

Admission and parking for the event are free. Event hours are 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Sunday. Visitors are encouraged to dress comfortably and bring along a wagon for convenient shopping. For more information, contact Brad Boozer at (803) 737-4531.
