Registration Open for the Agriculture Council’s Fall Farm Tour
COLUMBIA – Registration is open for the South Carolina Agriculture Council’s fall farm tour on Friday, September 16, offering attendees an inside look at several farms, roadside markets, and breweries across the state. The tour is open to the public and attendees must register by September 13, due to limited seating.
Tour stops include:
- Anne Springs Close Greenway – a 2,100 acre nature preserve that offers a wide range of outdoor activities and education
- The PuckerButt Pepper Company – home of the Carolina Reaper, the Guinness World Record holder for the world’s hottest pepper
- Lunch at Captain Steve’s – a local seafood restaurant in Fort Mill
- The Peach Stand – a roadside market that sells local produce, meats, bakery items, and ice cream
- SC Truffieres & Howell Specialty Farmz – local farm that produces fruits, vegetables, eggs, honey, and truffles
- Benford Brewing Company – a local craft beer brewery in Lancaster
The $55 registration fee includes transportation, lunch, and snacks. The tour will leave from the South Carolina Farm Bureau Federation building in West Columbia at 7:30 a.m. To register, contact Steve Slice at 803-360-2845 or scagriculturecouncil@gmail.com.
