SCDA Celebrates Earth Day by Helping USC Students Learn About Buying Local

COLUMBIA, S.C. – The South Carolina Department of Agriculture (SCDA) celebrates Earth Day with the University of South Carolina’s Students Advocating a Greener Environment (SAGE) group.
This annual event will take place next to the Russell House on Greene Street today from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Stop by the SCDA booth for information on buying local, a recyclable grocery bag, complimentary peanuts and more. SAGE hosts this event to help bring awareness on sustainability across campus through games, art, eating and crafting.
