State Farmers Market Welcomes Back Touch A Truck Event

COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Junior League of Columbia is hosting their sixth annual Touch A Truck event at the State Farmers Market on Saturday, April 11, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. The Certified SC Sheds will exhibit a variety of heavy machinery and big rigs for kids and adults to enjoy.

Fire trucks, crime fighting vehicles, bulldozers, antique military vehicles, farm/agriculture machinery, and mine resistant tanks are just some of the vehicles that guests will be able to touch, explore, climb on, and take pictures of. Kids will also get to meet the men and women who build and protect and serve the Midlands. There will be train rides, bounce houses, a magician, face painting, and healthy eating activities from the Junior League’s Kids in the Kitchen.

Returning this year is the special NASCAR exhibit sponsored by Pitts Nationwide Insurance Team of Columbia where speed skills will be put to the test in a racecar simulator. Attendees will get an up-close look at the Nationwide Series stock car.

Admission is $6 per person or a family four-pack for $20. Children under two are free with each paying adult. Tickets are available for purchase on the day of the event. The State Farmers Market is located at 3483 Charleston Highway, West Columbia. For more information, visit jlcolumbia.org.
