South Carolina State Farmers Market
3483 Charleston Hwy.
W. Columbia, SC 29172
The primary goal of the South Carolina Department of Agriculture is to effectively serve the farmers of our state by creating opportunities for success. At the same time, the Department is responsible for making efficient use of state resources. The New South Carolina State Farmers Market is designed to accomplish these two goals. The new market, a private-public partnership of 321 Lexington Associates and the South Carolina Department of Agriculture, is now open for business!
Farmers Sheds and Administration Building
The farmers sheds and administration building are owned and operated by the South Carolina Department of Agriculture. The new sheds provide an environment for South Carolina farmers to rent space on a daily or seasonal basis in order to offer their produce and products.

Situated on fifty-five acres of once rural farmland, the Pee Dee Market, located on US Highway 52 (between Florence and Darlington) is convenient to Interstates I-95 and I-20. Open year round, the Market showcases some of the state's freshest and finest produce but it has also become a prime location for the ornamental horticulture and floriculture industry. The Pee Dee Market is a destination stop on the way to Myrtle Beach and for travelers north and south along the eastern seaboard. But, more than that, homeowners are taking pride in their home’s appearance and the demand for plants and flowers as well as lawn and garden products has grown.
