SCDA is no longer accepting Specialty Crop Block Grant applications for 2021. The application process for 2022 will be made available early next year.

Applications will only be accepted from producer, industry, or community-based organizations involved with specialty crops. Each must include a project proposal that will clearly demonstrate that its purpose is to enhance the competitiveness of a specialty crop industry in South Carolina and use funds only for activities benefitting specialty crops (see link to definition below). Grant funds will not be awarded for projects that directly benefit or provide a profit to a single organization, institution or individual.

Late Submissions

Reports are considered late when submitted more than:

  • 30 days past due date – Annual Reports
  • 60 days past due date – Final Reports

Late submissions impact your risk score which is a component of the competitive review process for determining future awards.
