What is South Carolina Farm Link?

SC Farm Link is a statewide farmland transition program administered by the SC Department of Agriculture.

The mission of the South Carolina Farm Link program is to maintain land in agricultural use by helping beginning and expanding farmers gain access to farmland in South Carolina.

Who can participate?

Beginning and expanding farmers who are searching for land or a farming opportunity through a sale, lease or other business arrangement.

Landowners approaching retirement who wish to see their land stay in agricultural use, but do not have an identified individual to take over their operation.

What do participants receive?

A coordinator with SC Farm Link will facilitate conversations between farm seekers and farm owners. Participating farm seekers will receive direct assistance with locating available farmland and making connections with landowners.  Participating land owners will receive direct assistance with meeting farmers who are the right fit for their transition needs.
