Laura Jordan, Director of Agribusiness Development
Hannah Arndt, Program Coordinator
The Office of Agribusiness Development works with the South Carolina Department of Commerce, as well as with the state’s regional economic development alliances and city/county economic development boards, to continually promote agribusiness in South Carolina.
Much of their work surrounds the research and recruitment of prospective agribusiness companies that may have an interest in locating or growing their agribusiness in South Carolina, via the production of South Carolina Grown® products, or value-added services/processing that supply and support South Carolina agriculture.
Currently, agribusiness in South Carolina represents a nearly $50 billion economic impact to our state…and over 210,000 jobs!
