2015 Commissioner’s Cup BBQ Cook-off and Festival Winners
COLUMBIA, S.C. – The fourth annual Commissioner’s Cup BBQ Cook-off and Festival named a new State Barbecue Champion on Saturday, March 21. The South Carolina Department of Agriculture hosted this competition at the State Farmers Market, where 43 teams competed for the Grand Champion title in Boston Butts and pork rib categories.
2015 Winners and Awards:
Grand Champion (State title): Smokin Gringos – Mike Bastin, Goose Creek

Reserve Champion: Potbelly Cookers – Dennis Jarrett, Summerville
$300
Boston Butts:
1st Place: Carter-Que-Ing – Scott Carter, Lodge
$1,000
2nd Place: Smokin Gringos – Mike Bastin, Goose Creek

3rd Place: Smoke Central BBQ – Jason Singletary, Lake City
$300
Pork Ribs:
1st Place: Potbelly Cookers – Dennis Jarrett, Summerville

2nd Place: Some-R-Swine – Seth Watari, Summerville

3rd Place: Bold Branch Bar-B-Que Boys – Joe Hilliard, Anderson

Peoples’ Choice Award:
