Description: CEF&G is a small family farm with pastured chickens and other types of poultry such as free ranging Peafowl. We are also a SC Dept of Plant Industry certified plant nursery, with a small Orchard, and an Apiary with multiple hives located on different parts of the property. While we do produce and offer plants, eggs, fruit, and honey when available, our main focus is education as we offer periodic hands-on lessons in Basic Beekeeping, Honey Harvesting and Extraction, Raising Backyard Chickens, Incubation and Hatching, Plant Propagation, Soil Building, Trail Construction, and other topics as our guests express interest. We also offer farm vacations where guests can stay overnight in either of two units on the wooded front side of the property. One is a tiny house, the other is a vintage retro Airstream. Booking info is available, just ask. Our Farm Vacation guests may relax and enjoy the property or interact directly with farm related tasks. The property is Dark Sky friendly which allows us to host small groups of stargazers and those who simply enjoy being on a property with little to no nighttime light pollution.
