Description: Come tour a small family farm in the Upstate and experience a first generation dairy sheep and goat farm. See how we started from the ground up and how we've expanded to include honeybees, chickens, rotational grazing and hospitality and onsight hands-on learning. On this tour of our 31 acre farm, "Ewe" will learn how we have put every system in place each step of the way to make sure it fits the needs of our busy large family. Everyone has a job on the farm no matter how big or small. This is a teaching farm. It teaches us, so we can teach others. If you want to extend your learning, come stay in the AirBnB apartment where guests are given a front row view of our garden large enough to feed our family, while walking through the stages of growth to get here. On the opposite side of the apartment sits a fire pit used by guests and family to escape and reconnect. Guests are able to participate in farm chores, have a basket of farm fresh seasonal veggies or even a dozen sourdough bagels and eggs. This property also includes walks to creeks in the woods with a variety of edible forage to spot along the way like Chanterelle mushrooms when in season. Come learn our rotational grazing system to best utilize 6 acres of combination pasture and woods, along with why we use only non-gmo, soy and corn free feed, plus herbal remedies to keep everyone healthy. We also have a small venue available for rent for family or church gatherings, home school science classes, homestead classes on how to create a farm to table meal, process chickens, pressure can your harvest and so much more. If you are looking for raw milk, we offer a herdshare program.
