Description: Shady Pines is a combination of a traditional farm and a permaculture site. We focus on native plants and regenerative farming practices. We incorporate small farm animals and honey bees at our farm, and emphasis preserving the native fauna and flora that has been on this farm since 1988. The trees and native plants are an ongoing project that create diversity and education, as well as a food source, we also feature a Food Forest exhibit. We are currently developing a Nature Center to educate and inform people about the value of native plants, insects, birds and the balance of the environment created by balance and respect for nature.
