COLUMBIA, S.C. – The South Carolina Department of Agriculture is hosting a food safety training for farmers to prepare them for Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) and Good Handling Practices (GHP) certifications on Monday, June 23 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Phillips Market Center at the State Farmers Market.
The training will include a food safety overview, detailed visual examples of the dos and don’ts of on-farm food safety practices and a review of the audit checklist for GAP/GHP Certifications.
