State Farmers Market Welcomes Back Touch a Truck Event

COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Junior League of Columbia is hosting their 7th annual Touch a Truck event at the State Farmers Market on Saturday, April 2 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.  The Certified SC Sheds will transform into a world of big rigs and heavy machinery for young and old alike to experience up close.

Guests will be able to touch, climb on, take pictures and explore fire trucks, crime fighting vehicles, bulldozers, antique military vehicles, farm/agriculture machinery, mine resistant tanks and more. Kids will also get to meet the men and women who build, protect and serve the Midlands.

This community event also features family-friendly entertainment, public safety information, plus healthy eating activities from the Junior League of Columbia’s Kids in the Kitchen. Mascots, face painting, and other amusements will round out the fun.

Admission is $6 per person or a family four-pack for $20.  Children under two are free with each paying adult. Tickets are available for purchase day of the event.  The State Farmers Market is located at 3483 Charleston Highway, West Columbia. For more information, visit jlcolumbia.org
