The South Carolina Department of Agriculture Continues State Fair Exhibit in New Location
COLUMBIA, S.C. – The South Carolina Department of Agriculture (SCDA) continues its long-standing tradition of participating in the South Carolina State Fair, October 14-25. Come learn, taste, and see all about SC agriculture in SCDA’s new exhibit space inside the Ellison Building.
SCDA will be showcasing our state’s leading industry through a variety of exhibits. Visit the Fresh on the Menu cooking demonstration area to taste and see how you can incorporate Certified SC Grown produce and agricultural products into every day meals. Chefs from across the state will take part in daily cooking demos.
The South Carolina Specialty Food Association will feature vendors from across the state selling their Certified SC products. From jams and jellies to barbeque sauces, you will find a local treat to take home with you. You can also learn about specific agriculture commodities in South Carolina on the following days:
- Cotton October 14-16
- Watermelon October 17
- Beef/Cattle October 20-21
- Peanut October 20-22
- Agritourism October 23-25
- Equine October 23-25
