The Information Technology (IT) Department oversees the operation of the computing environment for the South Carolina Department of Agriculture (SCDA). This includes implementation, maintenance, programming, support, and approval of all SCDA technology, ensuring efficient workflows.
The IT Department is tasked with creating strategic plans to include achievable IT initiatives based on SCDA business needs and the needs of customers. Working alongside the South Carolina Department of Administration’s Division of Technology, supports the goals and initiatives of SCDA, to align with the strategic Information Technology Plan outlined for state agencies.
The IT Department leads the collaborative effort to deliver technology services to promote service improvements. As a result, the department aims to provide services which allows staff to do their jobs with greater ease, speed, and accuracy.
