Agritourism Mini-Conferences Grow Opportunities for Small Farms

COLUMBIA, S.C. – The South Carolina Agritourism Association is hosting two mini-conferences this month, Friday, August 21 at Moore Botanical Gardens in Lake City and Saturday, August 22 at Simple Times Farm in Cross Anchor.

 The mini-conferences, free to members, will provide networking opportunities and feature guest speakers, lunch, and a farm tour.  The Simple Times Farm conference will also include a farm safety presentation.

 To become a member of the association, complete the online application and fulfill the annual $45 fee. Membership benefits include:

  • Discount at annual and regional Agritourism Association conferences
  • Inclusion in the upcoming agritourism passport
  • Promotion in all South Carolina Welcome Centers
  • Information listed on the agritourism website and directory
  • Powerful networking opportunity

The South Carolina Agritourism Association is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to assisting consumers locate farm experiences, as well as, helping farm producers plan, develop, and promote tourist attractions on their farm. The organization was established in December 2014 and has over 65 members.
