The Homegrown by Heroes marketing initiative gives South Carolina farmers and agricultural producers who have served in the United States Armed Forces (Air Force, Army, Marine Corps, Navy, and Coast Guard) the opportunity to use the nationally recognized Homegrown by Heroes logo on their agribusiness signage and agricultural products.

This distinctive label helps consumers easily identify products that were locally grown or raised by a U.S. military veteran. From grocery shelves to farmers markets to online retail, the logo serves as a meaningful point of connection between consumers and the veterans who continue to serve their communities, this time through agriculture.

The Certified South Carolina program is a proud partner of the Farmer Veteran Coalition’s Homegrown by Heroes initiative. We are honored to support the South Carolina service men and women who bring their dedication, resilience, and leadership from the military into our state’s farms and food businesses.

Producers who are approved members of both programs may now use a new blended logo, combining the strength of the Certified SC brand with the national recognition of Homegrown by Heroes. This combined mark is a symbol of quality, service, and a deep commitment to South Carolina-grown agriculture.
