Commissioner Hugh Weathers and Lt. Governor Yancey McGill to Make Historic Announcement on Senior Citizens’ Access to South Carolina Produce
COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina Commissioner of Agriculture Hugh Weathers and Lt. Governor Yancey McGill will host a press conference Thursday, October 30, at 10:30 a.m. The press conference will take place in the lobby of the South Carolina State House, and is open to the public and all members of the media.
Weathers and McGill will jointly announce details about an exclusive event, in November, for senior citizens, featuring Certified South Carolina Grown products. The partnership involves numerous senior citizen groups throughout the state, as well as many private agriculture companies and farms. This announcement will be of significant interest to, and affect, thousands of senior citizens.
Please use the public entrance at the northeast corner of the State House if you wish to attend. The media is strongly urged to attend!
