M = MARKETING

Being a member of the agritourism association is an excellent marketing tool.  Your farm is listed in the directory with farm description, location, hours, offerings and contact information!  A monthly newsletter listing agritourism events for that month is sent out to over 4,000 individuals interested in agritourism events around SC. AS a SCAA member, you will receive a monthly e-newsletter with helpful marketing tips for members only. Your farm is also eligible to participate in the SCAA passport program.

O = ONLINE

Your farm is listed along with a picture and/or logo on the SCDA map, with capability to search farms by county and/or activity. Your farm events can be shared on the Agritourism Facebook page with over 5,000 followers.

V = VISITOR CENTERS

SCAA membership directories, rack cards, and other promotional materials are available at SC Visitor centers as well as at events around the state.

N = NETWORKING

You have access to other agritourism farmers to learn about new things that can be implemented on your farm to benefit you! We hold regional Summer Spotlight meetings and a yearly conference with farm tours. Members can network, ask questions, and get advice in our private Facebook group.

S= Scholarships

10% of memberships dues goes into a scholarship fund.  The scholarships are awarded to deserving college students of SCAA member farms majoring in Agriculture.

The South Carolina Agritourism Association proudly announces our new annual scholarship program. It is our desire that this scholarship will benefit students in the years to come with funding to help support and encourage education in the field of agriculture and agritourism.

  1. The SCAA scholarship program is a way that all member farms can invest in the future of agriculture and agritourism in the state of South Carolina. 10% of all members dues are allocated for the program.
  2. It is one of the many benefits of being a member of the SCAA, as recipients are chosen from the current SCAA membership.
  3. The SCAA scholarship program has the oversite of a very dedicated group of individuals on the Board of Directors with representation from each region of SC.
  4. You can help the scholarship program grow! If you have a heart for young people and their education, you can support our annual conference silent auction by donating items and biding on items as well as making a donation directly to the scholarship fund. Your generosity is truly appreciated. More scholarship funding means that more students can invest in agriculture and agritourism. It’s good for the future of farming!
  5. This years Scholarship is for $2,500.00!

Congratulations to Aza Shelby and Addison O’Cain!

The South Carolina Agritourism Association is proud to recognize Aza Shelby and Addison O’Cain as recipients of this year’s scholarship. Both have demonstrated an incredible work ethic and commitment to agriculture through their time at Livingston Farms in Woodford, where they each worked for more than two years throughout high school.

Their dedication to the farm hasn’t stopped with graduation. Even while pursuing their college educations, both Aza and Addison continue to return during summer and fall breaks to lend a hand and help keep the farm moving. Their willingness to work hard, learn, and give back is exactly what makes the next generation of agriculture so exciting.

Aza is currently attending Clemson University, pursuing a path toward veterinary medicine, while Addison is attending Newberry College. We are incredibly proud of both of them and grateful for the time, energy, and heart they have poured into Livingston Farms and South Carolina agriculture.

Congratulations Aza and Addison on this well-deserved scholarship! We can’t wait to see where your hard work takes you.
