Description: Discover the Charm of The Roost on Daufuskie The Roost on Daufuskie is a small, veteran-owned, family-run USDA farm nestled in beautiful Historic Daufuskie Island. We are Adam and Laura, and The Roost is our passion project—built with heart, hard work, and a deep love for our land, animals, and community. Situated on almost eight acres of partially cleared farmland and maritime forest, The Roost is home to our spoiled ducks, laying hens and many rescued farm animals. We hand-gather fresh eggs daily and offer Chicken, Duck, and Guinea eggs for sale, with pickup available starting at 10 a.m. We also offer a limited selection of seasonal produce. Sustainable farming, public health, environmental stewardship, and the humane treatment of animals are at the core of everything we do. Our mission is to improve the health of our community while preserving the beauty and biodiversity of our island through regenerative growing practices, education, and community partnerships. We envision a future rooted in greater self-sufficiency. We are currently expanding our farm with ongoing infrastructure projects, including a walking/riding trail, greenhouse, educational and gathering space, and a peaceful sitting area. Looking ahead, we hope to add bees, and expand our perennial flower, and herb gardens in the coming year.
